How we handle pallets
We don't carry a pallet truck, but that rarely stops a job. Most of the time we can split the pallet and load it ourselves.
Heavy pallets
Drinks and other dense stock are usually split and spread safely through the van. We use our own trolleys, so no pallet truck is needed.
Light pallets
Lighter pallets can often go in as they are, or be broken down, depending on what is at each end.
Whole pallets
If a pallet has to travel whole, a pallet truck is needed at collection to load it. Tell us what you have at each end and we'll plan around it.
Our van
Weight is the limit, not space
Our Maxi Mover low-loader Luton has room for several pallets, so the weight of each one usually decides how many go in a trip.
A heavy pallet of spirits typically weighs 600 to 900 kg, so that is usually one whole pallet per trip. Lighter pallets can go several at a time. Send us the weights and we'll plan the load.
Not sure how much yours weighs? Send what you know and we'll work it out with you.

Pallet questions
Can you move pallets?
Yes. We collect and deliver pallets across Edinburgh and the Lothians, either whole or split down. Light pallets can go in as they are. Heavy pallets, such as drinks, are usually split and spread safely through the van.
Do you have a pallet truck?
No, we don't carry a pallet truck. If a pallet needs to travel whole, a pallet truck is needed at collection to load it. Most of the time it's fine for us to split the pallet and load it into the van by hand, using our own trolleys.
How much weight can you carry?
Up to 1,300 kg per load. Weight is usually the limit rather than space, so tell us the weight of each pallet and we'll plan the load.
How many pallets fit in the van?
There is space for several pallets, but weight usually decides. A heavy pallet of spirits typically weighs 600 to 900 kg, so that is usually one whole pallet per trip. Lighter pallets can go several at a time.
Do you do same-day pallet deliveries?
Yes, whenever the van is free. Call us on 07749 857421 and we'll tell you straight away if we can do it today.
Is my stock insured while you carry it?
Goods-in-transit cover isn't included in our price. For high-value stock, check that your own insurance covers goods in transit before the job. We'll always load, secure and handle it with care.
How do you price a pallet delivery?
You get a fixed quote before the job. Pay the invoice to book.
